Great Atlas of Polish Campaign 1939 (Vol. III)
Volume III of the Great Atlas of the September 1939 Campaign covers the activities of the Polish Army and the German Wehrmacht in the northern part of the Second Polish Republic between September 1 and 8. The publication is divided into three chapters:
- Army "Poznań" - September 1-8, 1939.
- Army "Łódź" - September 1-8, 1939.
- Army of "Prussia" - September 1-9, 1939.
The area of activity is central Poland between the cities of Bydgoszcz, Poznań, Częstochowa, Kielce up to the line of the Vistula River. In the case of the German Wehrmacht, the 4th Army from Army Group "North" and the 8th and 10th Army from Army Group "South" took part in the hostilities.
Each day, for each army, begins with a 1: 300,000 map with marked positions of troops on a division-regiment scale. The next daily maps are sheets for individual divisions and brigades on 1: 100,000 sleepers. As far as possible, these activities have been drawn on the scale of a battalion, company, squadron and battery.
In the event that individual tactical relationships operate in the same area, I drew them on one background to show their cooperation or to demonstrate the potential for cooperation.
The fights of the "Prussia" Army were drawn up to 9 September, the last day of regular operations of the Southern Grouping.
